anyone else's in laws...

not give them a gift at all for the wedding? my mil didn't come to my show (she moved out of state a month befoe it), didn't send a gift, no enagagement gift and comes with an empty card to the wedding. she claims she's setting up an account so she can save $1000 then she'll give it to us, but she also claimed she sent a shower gift, yeah well wedding already happened. just wanted to know if anyone else has in laws from hwll like me?

my fil......he didn't even give us a card....he did pay for 1/2 the rd but i realyl wanted a card at least......i guess its ok b/c i know he was upset his wife couldn't be there that day but the cards are something i plan on saving forever

My inlaws didnt give a gift. I know they are having money problems right now but a card would have been nice and now my mil is bitching that she didnt get her parent album yet.

We were very lucky.

My IL's paid for our honeymoon, bought us a digital camcorder (with my SIL) for my shower, and gave us a gift at the wedding (which was totally unexpected).

we didn't get a gift OR a card!!! his sister didn't give us a gift or card either.
I'm not so annoyed about the gift, i'm more pissed we didn't even get a card. or even an acknowledgement that they didn't give us a gift like 'sorry we didn't get you a gift, money is tight...' or WHATEVER!!!
just NOTHING!!!!!

eta- they did help out a little and paid for half of rehearsal dinner... but like i said... all i really wanted was a card!

no mine didn't pay for anything at all!! and his sister who was in the wedding didn't chip in for my shower or give us a card or a gift. it's crazy!!

His mother didnt want to give us an empty card, so she didnt even give us a card, BUT she gave us a lot of money to help us get a house. It was really all she had. I'm very greatful for that.
