Anyone else's hubby think your clothes are too long?

I bought two pairs of shorts yesterday and he made a face. He thinks they are too long.I told him I am not 18 years old and cannot wear those short shorts. Anyone else's hubby think they are a little too conservative with the clothes sometimes?

OMG - Yes!!!! My DH thinks anything he sees on a 16 year old will look great on me and wonders why I do not wear that stuff. HELLO???? with my DDs I HAVE to wear a bra Sometimes men are so clueless

Definitely!! Same problem, so I sympathize. I just bought some shorts from J crew at the outlets the other day and he thought they were too long! Also, last night when I was making dinner, DH asked why I always 'ruin' my outfits with cardigan sweaters! Keep in mind, these sweaters are cute from ann taylor, gap, br, etc but he thinks they look old. I told him that working in an office requires me to dress conservatively!

DH doesn't say anything to me but the choices are really limited. You can have shorts that are really long or your butt can hang out.

Thats it Christine. Its either they are a little long or my cheeks stick out. This girl is not going to be sticking her cheeks out so .....long shorts it is.

My DH would prefer that I look like a 16 year old hoochie all the time. Hello! I work in my office and 16 year old hoochie is not my style, even when I was 16.
My skirts are always too long and my heels are never high enough (Um, i'm already 5'9'). I guess I should take it as a compliment, he tells me I don't show off my body enough.

I think thats what it is. Our hubby's think we are beautiful so they think we should show it off.

I have the opposite problem...my husband would like me to wear a 3 piece suit or an eventing gown everywhere!

He will tell me to wear a black cocktail dress to a July 4th BBQ!

Stef, your hubby wants you to cover up?

He doesn't want anyone looking at you probably.

Not so much covered up...but more dressed up. He just prefers when I look like a business woman or a socialite- even if its not appropriate to dress that way.

And Im always telling HIM his shorts are too long. He has short legs and is always buying those bermuda short type shorts..which make him look even shorter.

My husband always wants me to dress sexy. I tell him that I am not wearing those shorts with my cheeks hanging out and he thinks my shorts are too long and frumpy.

My husband doesn't comment either way! I think it is because he grew up with three older sisters and had to learn not to say anything! :-)

Me too ... Rob prefers shorter skirts and I love knee-length and ankle-length skirts. I don't like short skirts that much - it's really a matter of preference.

I don't wear long shorts but if I bought some I think my DH would say the same thing.

Well, I kind of have Stef's problem. He always wants me to dress up, too, on the weekends!! I have to dress up all week for work so there's no way I'm going to get all dressed up on a Sunday, sorry.

I wish my husband would dress up more!! Always a t-shirt and athletic pants, we fight when we go out with him wearing jeans and a nice shirt sometimes. I wish he liked clothes more and dressed up! I dress up for work for the most part but he doesn't care what I wear just like he doesn't really care what I wear!!!
