I ddin't have someone copy...but I don't understand why people care about this so much!

Immitation is the best form of flattery! Honestly, I had a fairly creative wedding...because I didn't want it to be like 'everyone elses' but generally...it's hard for your wedding ot be 'different' unless you are specifically doing things differently.
The trend now is to have big balls of tightly packed roses as boquets...I'm sure someone did that once..and it was all unique and new...now EVERYONE DOES IT...
(cept me...I wanted something more wild)

I would be flattered if someone used one of our ideas! How many ways could thier possibly be to fold a program, or pass out pettles?

If a friend did it and it was something that I came up with, I would just hope they would say...'I love what you did at your wedding ....I think we might do that to!'

I think it's nice to get recognition for being creative, but we are not in high school (at least I hope not!).

I have had my fair share of people pulling the 'ewww..you copied me' crap, or 'OH NO, That's what I wanted to do at my wedding!'
...this from a friend who wasn't even engaged at the time!

IT's selfish and childish in my opinion...

(sigh) sorry...no offence to anyone here...I am just sick of everyone comparing!
DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AT YOUR WEDDING...if your friends and family are saying
'Oh I saw this at so and so's wedding...they STOLE the idea!' then..that's pathetic.

This is key. What if it wasn't just one idea, but MANY ideas. And, what if this bride never ONCE said a word to you about any of the things that she wanted to borrow, or even once said, 'hey, that was nice', but instead, came to your wedding with a notebook and all of your ideas were 'reincarnated' at her wedding?

I was the last of my friends to get married. Funny, I never really took notice of any of the details from any of their weddings, though I did notice that the necklace I chose was identical to the necklace my cousin wore at her wedding 6 months before. But I really didn't remember what hers was like. I wonder if she noticed and thought that I copied her.
