I usually take things to the tailor inside Jim Dandy's Dry Cleaners on Main Street. They're pretty quick. The seamstress re-sewed the hems on my pants right in front of me one day.

I'm a little nervous taking a bridesmaid dress to a cleaners though....

oh yeah, definitely agree. I take bridesmaids dresses to Alterations Unlimited in Deer Park (used to live there), b/c I haven't found anyone in Huntington yet. The owner, Gina, is really good. A little pricey, but really good.

Oh yeah, I've passed that place. It does look expensive, but worth a shot. Let me know how it goes.

My dad used to go to a guy that was upstars in a building on Main St down by what is now AT Loft. It was either on that block or above Mundays. Not sure if its still there though. He was a real old fashioned tailor and very very good.
