Anyone in Pharmaceutical Sales?

I have an IT background and I am trying to break into pharmaceutical sales. Is anyone on here in the industry. I appreciate any help I can get.

I am a pharmaceutical sales rep in Manhattan. So is NYCMeghan on here. We both work for the same company!!! I love the job!!! It couldn't be more awesome. I think it is a little tough to get into but so many companies are hiring. Please let me know what kind of information I can help you with.

Sure- you do about 10 calls a day, going to doctors offices and you discuss whatever product you have and try to convince the doctor thorough research you have (the company provides it to you) why they should use your drug vs the competition. I m actually head ing out the door right now, but if you would like to talk, I am going to fm you my cell and will def. give you some pointers. Hope this helps.
