I have some questions, I was hoping one of you ladies would know, or works in the car insurance field and has expert advice... you can FM me if you prefer.
I have my driver's license, but I don't drive, and I never have... (pathetic I know! lol)
DH's car insurance company told me I 'HAVE' to be added onto his policy, I have no choice, because I have my license, even though I don't drive (and our rates would go up if he has to cover me too wouldn't it?)
A family friend, however, told me that I don't have to be on his policy if I don't drive that it's a waste of money (which I agree)... but he also said that even if I DO drive, I don't have to have my name on the policy as long as the car is insured that's fine, is this true?
Sorry this post is long, was hoping someone could shed some light.

i dont think it should affect your rate that much if you are listed as the second driver, i dont think it would hurt....and you might as well start driving if you are going to be on the policy!

yes you have to be on the policy but you'll be listed as a non-licensed spouse

Since you don't ever drive your rate should be fine since you wouldn't have any accidents or tickets.

i work for an insurance office, and yes you have to be added to policy if you are a licensed driver in the household and not listed on someone else policy.
