Do you feel like you missed out? How do you relive your wedding? I didn't get one due to a videographer F'up so Im feeling a little down today and wanted to here from the brides who didn't get a video. I guess I will feel better once I get my proofs back.
For those of you who know what happen with my video Im sure you guys are tired of my talking about it so I just want to say sorry for bringing it up again.

Re: Anyone not get a Video
well, if it makes you feel any better, I did get a video, and it is my biggest regret. I am SO SORRY I got that damn video, and I would advise every bride to NEVER get the video.
The day of my wedding, about 50 things went wrong....but I didn't notice most of them b/c I was just soooo happy.
The photographer caputred all of the beautiful moments so perfectly...when I saw my photos, i relived my beautiful wedding all over again, remembering all the details I had missed in the excitement of the day.
When I got my video, I excitedly put it in the DVD and ruined my whole image. I watched the ceremony over and over, scrutinizing all of the mishaps, how awful the cantor sounded, how sterile our vows sounded b/c we were so nervous. I didn't notice these things on my wedding day.....but after watching the video, I'm totally horrified. IT also mananged to capture the reception, and my broken bustle dragging on the floor......all of the old fat relatives tht my MIL insisted on inviting who I'll never see again, and about an hour and a half of the children that were there, who I didn't want to have to invite in the first place.
Having a video was my BIGGEST AND ONLY MISTAKE. I wish I never had it so that I could remember my wedding the way I did before I saw it.

we didn't get one, but we bought a camera and asked BIL to tape it. My other BIL also taped things, so we have 2 non-pro videos...
the camera worked out great for our honeymoon. We have lots of stupid videos......

We didn't get a video either. My SIL and BIL did some videotaping themselves, but that was it. Everyone I've met that got a video watches it once or twice (when they first get it) and then never watches it again. I was on a budget and this is one thing I chose to go without and I have no regrets about it.

Oh Amy I'm so sorry you feel that way..I hope that looking at your pictures and just remembering the day as you felt it help a bit. A video can never capture what a photo can IMHO which why I opted out of a video.
ETA: And I don't regret it at all..I have amazing pics and even more amazing memories

Re: Anyone not get a Video
We didn't get a video either, I do regret it a little bit. However, we did have one of my BM's husbands videotape our ceremony and our reception for us. He did a great job, the quality isn't that of a professional - but we do have something.
DH and I also chose not to get one because we also hate having a camera in our face at other people's weddings too. I'm happy that we didn't get one just for that reason. That would've irritated me.

we didn't either. a camera in my face would make me nervous and be annoying. and i also hate watching myself on video, dh agreed he wasn't crazy about it and we don't regret it. maybe if we didn't have a fabulous photographer, we'd regret it.

im pretty particular, i wouldve been hard on myself watching our video if we got one too. but all the details, only you really notice. so try not to be too horrified.
