Anyone stay at the Ritz in Maui?
The online reviews vary so drastically from being called the best hotel in Hawaii to the most disguisting hole on earth. Anyone stay there and can shed some light on it?

Re: Anyone stay at the Ritz in Maui?
We stayed there in July for our HM! It was beautiful only complaint is that the beach is very windy, but other then that the rooms, service and food were all terrific. If I could answer anymore questions please FM me! I will try to help you out!

Re: Anyone stay at the Ritz in Maui?
We didn't stay there but we checked it out. We weren't happy with the hotel we were at and wanted to move, but everything was booked (it was a holiday). We looked at rooms and they were beautiful! You could get a huge suite for the price we were paying for only a room at our hotel. All the people we dealt with were very pleasant. We didn't notice any musty smell either. I wish we booked that initially.

Re: Anyone stay at the Ritz in Maui?
Sonicstef We didn't notice any Moldy smell at all and the pools were clean and beautiful and the service was great at Restaurants and around the pool. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I know what you mean about the reviews online & it made me very nervous. I read them to before we went and almost changed hotels but I said to myself it can't be bad since its a RITZ! and It was great I am so glad we didn't change our plans. When do you plan on going?? Anything else let me know!

Re: Anyone stay at the Ritz in Maui?
Thanks guys!We found a really great deal so the price to stay at the Ritz is about the same to stay at a lesser hotel on Maui (although they are all outrageously expensive). I figured it would be a great chance to stay there...but not if it stunk! But you two have alleviated my fears.
If the deal works out, hoping to go the first week in Feb. We went ot Maui last Feb and stayed at the Hyatt and had a great time.

Re: Anyone stay at the Ritz in Maui?
We stayed at the Ritz in August of this year for our honeymoon...we did change rooms 3 times becuase of the moldy smell. The first 2 rooms were on a lower level (ground & 1st) so as soon as we walked in we smelled it. They were so accomodating though and gave us a dinner on them anything we wanted...any price. They have impeccable service there! They called us by name, had our car ready to go in seconds (we called down for it) and we were told that Santana lives close by and eats frequently at one of the restaurants. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Good luck! And ask for a room on a higher level!Welcome New Vendors
