Anyones DH a party pooper

Anytime we get invited to a social event, graduation, wedding, etc...DH says yes he'll go and than changes his mind!! and says he doesnt wana go and I feel bad, so I am forced to alone, with 101 questions from people and family like omg where is ur husband..??! why isnt he here??...with me making some lame excuse.
I literally have no idea why he refuses to go...he always says its boring, with a bunch of nosy people, (He says this about all parties including his family parties), and he says Id rather just go out to dinner the two of us....

Anyones DH not a big social butterfly??

Awww I'm sorry he does this. As far as thinking its boring? Do you stay with him most of the time? I know if I go and leave him with my fam or even certain members of his family, my Dh gets bored too...so I check up on him once in awhile so he doesn't feel out of place or bored.

This happens to me & DH but it's not by choice. DH's work schedule is usually FRI & SAT nights so if there is a family event he usually can't go and I go alone and everyone asks for him. Now they are finally getting used to it and have started to do some things on Sundays if they want both of us there.
