I have a question for brides who had husbands who did their own thank yous:
When you wrote your separate ones, did you sign both names? I'm just curious.... Thinking back on it, I don't know if I would have had DH write his own if he offered. I kind of feel like it's not my side and his side anymore, it's OUR family. But maybe that is because our families get along really well.

my thought, too...that's why it kind of stung a little when he said 'i want to write the ones to my people.' ??? aren't we all on big people now?
i didn't want him to write them...and he didn't...besides, with his procrastination level, at our 50th, he'd still be writing them.

DH was in charge of ONE thank-you, his brother's, the best man. We got married 10/28 - I did the other 199 (and wrote something personal in each and every one) and mailed them on 12/26. DH gave his brother's his a couple of months ago.

DH really wanted to write the thank you cards. However his handwriting is not good and mine is very nice. So he signed his name. I really love that he offered to write them and meant it.

Nope, I wrote all 250 out and wrote a novel in each one.
DH's job was to seal the envelopes and put stamps on them. When he was done he looked at me and said 'Man, that was alot of work!'
That's hysterical.
If DH wrote any thank yous, no one would know who they're from. He can't read his own handwriting. Seriously. I had to translate his card to his parents just 2 weeks ago.
Besides, if he writes his own side, that's all of 5 cards. The rest of them are my side of the family.

I WISH my husband would write his own! Too bad he has 'serial killer' handwriting that would be way too scary and completely illegible on a TY note!
