My salon offered to give me a free pair of shoes when I bought the dress. The only ones I really like were 3 inches high. I'm 5'1 and my fiance is 6'1 so its not that. But am I going to want to kill myself after being in those things all day?

First, break them in, wear them in your house for a few weeks before so you get used to to them, also get bridal slippers/sneakers for the reception (they have platform ones too if you want height).

Remember you will be wearing them for a longgggg day!!!!! if you ae used to wearing shoes like this I'm sure you would be fine. I know my feet would kill me!!!

I wore really comfy shoes on my day with a low heel (I'm tall) and my feet ACHED at the end of the night with all the dancing....so just be sure they're SUPER comfy if you want to wear them

I wore 3 inch heels on my wedding day. I am use to high heels so they didn't bother me and my shoes were pretty comfy. I did wear them around the house in the weeks before to make sure they wouldn't hurt - but I was more concerned about the straps than the heel. I did have a few blisters on my feet at the end of the night but I wore my shoes from noon-ish - til 3am and never felt any pain.

I wore shore heels but all shoes kill my feet no matter what the height but I didnt feel a thing the day of the wedding. The excitement of it all made me just ignore it. So I probably wouldnt have felt it no matter what - just be prepared to pay for it the day after.

I wore them all day. As long as the shoe is comfortable, if you can handle the height go for it and bring a pair of slippers just in case.

I am 4'10' and my DH is 5'11' and I wore low heels! I wanted to be comfy I didn't care about the height difference. Even with the low heels and dancing all night by feet still ached! You really need to feel comfortable in them!

i say get them, wear them around a little and if they kill your feet, you can always go get a different pair. if you can get them free, go for it!
right...if they are free...no harm no foul...you can sell them on ebay...
I had 2 1/2 and my shoes were SOOOO comfy....but they were backless so I didn't have straps or anything digging in

I wore 3.5 heels also and the were great! it took me forever to buy shoes becasue I was going for comfort and height at the same time! The length of the the heel is not as important as the fit of the shoe!

Take them! Wear them for as long as you can, then find a comfy pair of 3 inch white shoes (flip flops, etc..) so you can change into them if your feet start to hurt.

I wore 3 1/2 and although they did hurt, I loved them and it was worth it....
Not to mention, as stated above, I wasn't really thinking about it! lol!

The only thing I would say is if you are used to wearing 3 inch heels that go for it, if you aren't, your feet will hurt. I notice a difference when I wear a different size heel than what I am used to. You really don't want your feet aching the entire day, although you can take them off and wear something else fo the reception...

I had 2 1/2' heels. My feet did hurt me at the end of the night but I didn't break mine in before the wedding. I wanted lower heels but I didn't want my gown hemed that much, I had alot of pretty flowers at the bottom of my dress, I didn't want to ruin them.

I just bought 3.5 inch heels and that was NOT what I was originally going to get. However, I fell in love with them. Also, for my friend's wedding, in which I was a BM, i purposely bought 1.5 inch heels to be comfortable. My feet have never hurt so much in my life. On the otherhand, my other friend (also a BM in the same wedding) bought 3 inch heels and she was fine. So just b/c a shoe is low doesn't mean it's comfortable. I intend on wearing my wedding shoes around the house to get used to them and maybe buy some bridal sneakers or some other type of shoe, just in case my feet start hurting during the reception.
