I was just curious if you or DH consider you like your MIL since they say a man tends to marry someone like there mother !!
I would say Im alot like mine and DH says it all the time we tend to forget alot of things and think the same things are funny and if DH is wrong we always have eachothers back instead of DH's

We are both very caring giving people but thats about where it ends...keep in mine I love my MIL we just arent much alike..

i only knew her for a short period of time before she passed.. but i know we both loved the Mets so that we have in common! she was a nice lady

We definitely have a lot of similarities. But it's okay with me b/c I like her Although I'm not sure DH set out to marry a woman like his mom. She and I are both Geminis and when DH first met me he said 'Oh no, a Gemini? I swore I would never date a Gemini.'

I don't even talk to her... She wasn't invited to our wedding... NOTHING... DH doesn't talk to her either... She doesn't exist as far as we are concerned

Hmm well I always say DH is just like my dad in all the good qualities and some of the not so hot, which is good because I love m\y dad. Far from a perfect man but he is a good man and thats the kind of guy I wanted to marry and I did. But am I like my MIL?
I don't know. I would say yes in alot of ways-both very caring people and let our emotions overwhelm us sometimes because we try to fix everything and everyone. Both march to our own durmmer and seem a little loopy at times. LOL was ironic is that she always gives the best gifts. Like she knows me so wlel because we are alike, versus my mom who tries but doesn't quite hit the nail on the head.

yes. supposedly I am.
FH's mother died in 2003 (I never met her) but I hear she was sarcastic and fun... He says she would have loved me.

My MIL passed away before I met Kevin so I never had the opportunity to meet and get to know her. Sometimes I do/say things that remind him of her. She was also short (under 5') but she didn't take any BS, that's me too. Plus my birthday is December 4, when I first told Kevin he couldn't believe it, his mom's was December 5.
She always told him to go out and find a nice Italian girl but he never did. I like to think that she found me for him and brought him to me.

She is a very very simple lady who is very sweet but very layed back & slow moving. Where I am very fast paced, outgoing & always on the go doing something, I think I scare her. We are just entirely opposite in every single way, other then being caring and kind and sweet. She always asked where I get my energy from & how I manage to do all the things I do. I told her I was born that way, its true ha, ha, ha....
But my husband is very much like my Dad, which is all good.

In some ways yes, in others not really. I am probably more like my MIL than my mother which is weird in terms of style and many personality traits, but my MIL is also pretty submissive to her husband, depends on him for pretty much everything and I couldn't be further from that! If my husband spoke to me the way her husband speaks to her, we would have some very serious problems!

I think so. She recently passed away but there were definitely some similiarities. We were both out going Americans
She was a great lady and mother and I hope that when I have kids I will be just like her!

not at all!!!!! we're definitely different. I love her to death tho, what a sweetheart!! im so blessed to have MIL like her.
...DH and his bros always joke that she 'set them up for failure' bc she is SOOOO laid back and low maintenance, never any drama at all, not very emotional, etc, etc, so they all had such a skewed vision of what to expect from women in general in relationships and such.

In alot of ways yes! In some ways not so much. Im actually more like my MIL than my own mom, its really weird!
