Are you renewing your vows?

It's 6:22am NY time, 4:22am Cabo time and I can't sleep guess I'm too excited for our jetskiing trip that we're taking today.

So anyway, are you thinking of renewing your vows? I don't know if we're going to do the whole official vow renewal...but I definitely plan on having a huge party and toasting DH and our 10 years together.

what about you?

I talked to darling husband about this and we probably renew our vows in ten years also with the whole ceremony and reception idea again.

for our one year i am thinking of planning the wedding that DH wanted in the first place.

he wanted me and our puppy on the beach in key west at sunset SO i am trying to find a way to pull this off.

I just need an officiant and someone to take pictures - heck even with my own camera I dont care. . . but i have been looking into it and i am going to try to keep it a surprise until THAT day

it wont be on our actual anniversary though since we arent going until march but oh well

and then for a BIGGIE like 25 i would love to renew in the church my parents were married in, in Sicily.

We are planning a trip to Vegas next year with friends, and I want to get married again.
At the Little White Chapel.
With an Elvis impersonator officiating.

That should be fun.

That whats we wante to do but in Saint Lucia. We won't be able to pull it of this year but maybe for our 5 year (who says have to wait for 10!) we will be able to do that; just me and him on the beach with the sunset and CALM like we wanted originally.

I hope you pull off the surprise!

thanks i hope so too. i originally thought about bringing him to the beach and THEN telling him what was up but with my luck he would be wearing his stupid 'Shuck you' shirt (from a clam place) or something so I figured I would make a whole special day out of it so he can prepare!

LOL thats somethign Pete would do and then we'd argue because I would keep 'gently urging' him to change and he'd get pissy and I'd get mad and blurt out the surprise and then HE would get mad that I ruined the surprise...

Just give the man a hint and spare yourseld throwing sand at him.

sometime down the road it would be nice we'd probably do the whole rustic thing...& just have close family.. lots of cool ideas i think it would be fun a ways down the road.... why not right??

we actually wanted to renew our vows on our anniversary in Vegas for fun.
you know, get married by Elvis in the little white chapel! and we have a lot of friends in cali that would be down for joining us...
sounds like fun!

but more than wanting to renew our vows in Vegas i just want to lay on a beach with my honey away from the chaos!
as for the 5 or 10 yr mark, i would def. like to do something special.

I said something about this in passing to DH and I got one of these: as expected...

... I have a feeling we will be so swamped with kids and careers that the idea of a vow renewing celebration will be the last things on our minds...
