Hyatt is nice loved the Riu Palace & LOVED my honeymoon spot The Occidental. I like to stay in the Hi-Rise area. Much nicer JMO>

I would try to stay in the low rise section... less crowded... when we went, the beaches by us were empty... very serene! we stayed at casa del mar... not exactly the HM hotel we planned on but as a reg vacay, it def serves its purpose!

Try Bucuti Beach Resort. It's in the low-rise section and the beach is beautiful and not crowded.

the hyatt is the best hotel there. gorgeous pool. totally relaxing environment. great breakfast. i highly recommend it!

the food in aruba isn't great, so be forewarned. one good place (i forget the name, but ask the concierge) is an argentinian steakhouse in the main town. and then, if i am remembering correctly, down the road (a walkable distance) from the hyatt is a nice restaurant called mariposa. i think that is the name.

have fun!

Marriott Surf Club...loved it!! Recommend eating at the Flying Fishbone...worth the 40 min. cab ride from the hotel area for the setting and atmosphere!

I loved Aruba!!! We recently stayed at the Riu which was beautiful with a great staff. I will have to say I really was not impressed with the food. We have stayed at other all inclusives and Riu's and the food has been much better elsewhere. There are so many good places to eat at out so I would say do a non all inclusive. El Gauchos was amazing and we also loved the Flying Fishbone which is right on the beach. We went for sunset and it was beautiful! The Hyatt was def the nicest hotel and we want to stay there the next time we go. I would def stay in the high rise section.

Def worth it!!! We rented a car for 1 day and it wound up being cheaper then taking a cab back and forth.
