ASH WEDNESDAY!!! Who's getting them??

Me and my Dh are going after work today. My Dh was like do we have to? I said Yes we Have to!! LOL..I know he gets mad because whenever we get our ashes, somehow he always winds up with the largest amount on his forehead..and mine is always small. I think its funny, cause he knows he cant touch it..

I'm not catholic so we don't do the ashes thing. DH went this afternoon.

Same here I'm not catholic so I won't be getting them.

Dh is barely catholic he was only baptized and other than his nieces and nephews baptisms he hasn't stepped into a catolic church or for that matter ever gotten ashes.

I went at lunchtime.
Got this huge blotch on my forehead. Does not look anything like a cross. Happens every year.

LOL!!! This is what always happens to DH!! and i dont get why it never looks like a cross!!

I got mine. It's huge across my forehead! I think I'm the only catholic in the office.

I think this was the first time mine were not like that. I've actually had it sprinkle down on my nose it was so much.

i have to go get mine after work. however at my church it says there is a mass at 8am and 8pm and then every hour on the hour there is a service where ashes will be distributed. I have only been to masses in the past...so does that mean it isn't a mass it is just go in and get your ashes??

They're probably just giving ashes on the hour. Nice that they give you the option of both.
