Re: At home fitness dvd's

Someone on here recommended the Jillan Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD and I tried it for the first time the other day and DAMN!!!!! I was so sore the day after and I really liked it. It's a 20 minute workout where you do interval training-- 3 minutes of strength, 2 mins of cardio, 1 min abs-- and you repeat the sequence 3 times. It went fast and I really felt it and the people in the video weren't annoying.

ITA...this is a great video. I also like the walk away the pounds ones. They are a little bit old lady-ish but it keeps me occupied!

Re: At home fitness dvd's

depends on how intense u want it.....i wanted to lose a few pounds & was more concerned with really toning up... 3months before our wedding i bought the Rapid Results 10minute solutions pilates video....i freakin' LOOOVED it. It was great because the entire dvd was 50minutes...but everything was in 10minute segments...so each morning i'd vary it up...one day i'd do legs, butt & thighs, the next i'd do arms back & stomach etc. & on days where i'd have NO time, i'd still throw in a 10minute routine in the morning & then at night.. It's great if u're busy and dont have a ton of time.. it was AWESOME. the first week i had a tough time doing everything, but over a span of the first few weeks, i felt myself get stronger & then i was really able to do the moves...which was neat, 'cause i actually FELT & saw the results just by feeling my body get stronger & more capable... it was also cool because now i know the moves, so i'll do them right in the gym!

if u're more interested in really shedding pounds, i know they also have a bunch of cardio & kickboxing ones by the same name, but i've never tried them because i was so happy with this one. I also have friends that swear by the Billy Blancs tae-bo dvd's, and my aunt has an AWESOME one thats really hardcore cardio & fun...of course i can't remmeber the name of it for the life of me but i'll get it from her & FM u with the name if u want...i know she raves about it...
anyways, i LOVED this.... it really got me toned up with lean muscle for our honeymoon....lol makes me realize how bad i need to start up my routine again! i am SOOOOO not in the shape that i was in!

I like windsor pilates- I do the 20 min video when I either don't have the time or don't have the motivation to do any more- and I still feel like I got a good workout! At first it feels really hard, but gets much easier the more you do it!

Krista recommended Jillian Michaels and I like hers alot. its basic but difficult. really kicked my butt and I am used to the hardcore excercise classes at the gym so for a video to really work for me says something.

I love the Tae Bo series also.

I love the Yoga Booty Ballet series. They mix up yoga, different types of dance, pilates, ballet (stationary isometric ballet moves to strengthen), and weight traning combined with cardio. I did them leading up to my wedding, and I definitly got results. Not only that but I enjoyed doing them, and I've never enjoyed any workout DVDs.
