Awkwardness with decorating

Original post by chicky724

This is, of course, a COMPLETELY hypothetical question.

If you were given something for your house that is not your taste at all, would you still display it? This person comes to your house on a semi-regular basis so they would def notice it. (or not notice it.)

ETA: I have no idea why all of the choices say A.

Crashing to pipe in with my own experience...

My grandma went on a painting spree for a while down in Florida...she painted all sorts of ceramics for us. Some of it was nice, but one of them was downright brutal. She painted a huuuuge ceramic cat...all black except its beard which is all white. We put it by the fireplace and everything was fine until we went to sleep. I came down in the middle of the night and it looked like the cat had unhinged its jaw and its mouth was wide open and ready to swallow me whole!!!

The thing is freaky...my mom is scared of it too...so we leave it out, but we turn it around to face the wall!! When she comes over we make sure to turn it back the right way

My father's wife gave me some birthday statue 2 years ago. It was hideous and something that you would give a 10 year old. I left it on my coffee table because I knew that my cats would push it off the table and shatter it.

The statue lasted 3 weeks.
