So, DH originally wanted to have kids soon, but now that we have a puppy, he thinks kids should be on hold not because of the puppy, but we realized our lives are very hectic and need to become more organized.
I'll be starting a new job soon and that will put kids on hold for even longer. Anyone have this happen? DH is 35 and I'm 27, but he doesn't want to be the 'old dad'.
Thoughts?

We just got a puppy and its a great litmus test. You definitely realize some changes that need to happen.
As far as putting kids off, we too had to. We're both 30 and have to wait another 1.5 years because DH is deploying for year starting in OCT. So I feel your pain with the new job. You definitely start to feel the sacrifices more-or tradeoffs-as you get older.

its different for everyone but i agree that if you start a new job that will put off the kids even longer. you might get used to the job and income and it will be harder for you. if you want them now i would try to explain to DH that it effects your life more than his (not in a bad way) but you know what im saying. if its a good time for you now i would try to talk to him good luck on your decision and TTC if you do!!!
