Baby Fever?

Baby Fever?

Since the wedding, I have found myself obsessed with all things baby. DH and I are not plannng on TTC until next year, and I am SO not ready to push that date up, yet I am all lurking on the Parenting board and reading all baby stuff. I go between totally excited to think of starting a family to completely terrified.

I cannot believe how many times DH and I have used the phrase 'when we have kids' over the last few months. We are looking to buy an SUV, and DH asked the dealer about safety ratings etc for when we have kids, and we were looking in the backseat to make sure there was room for a carseat! Can you imagine, DH and I were cracking up picturing ourselves as parents! We felt like kids impersonating adults Are we the only ones in this in-between stage?

When we bought our SUV a few years ago, it came with DVD player inside and we ;laughed then saying its perfect for when we have kids, can take em on a road trip and pop ina movie!!! It was fun to picture us bing parents, now Im ready to make it a reality!!!

It has its highs and lows in my life, one minute I am so ready and the next minute I am scared out of my mind. It is all normal

My mother looks at me when I get like this and say, why you don't go and cool your heels

I act like I have full confidence, but Im scared SHI$%#%less!!! My sister just had her baby, she is at the point where she is a bit sleep derprived, It is VERY scary! I know I want children, I am just afraid of everything that comes with having children, the weight, no sleep, being a good mom, the whole package is terrifying!

DH and I both have Baby Fever. If we could we would be TTC but at this time we can't. We just keep telling ourselves that it is better to wait a couple of more yrs and thats what we are doing.

I have major baby fever- all of my friends have kids or are pregnant at this point.. my DH isn't as ready though- but I'm hoping to TTC end of this year- of course I need to find a new job first b/c my current employer doesn't offer maternity leave.

ugh you SO need to get out of there. By law, they must give you 6 weeks off for regular delivery and 8 weeks for a C section. And up to an additional 4 weeks according to the FMLA but whether or not it is paid leave is your employer's choice.

what a beeyatch !

Like Shamma said... one minute I'll have it, the next I won't. Guess that means I'm not 100% ready yet! But we have a niece who we LOVE to death and dote on so we get our dose of baby through her!

I believe that the FMLA doesn't cover employers with 50 employees or less

I understand completely. My dh is more reluctantly than I am. My dilemma is if we should ttc now or wait to have a summer baby. Isn't it funny that we have the same anniversary HappyEverAfter!!!

Same here ... but I'm leaning more towards having it more of the time. Although Rob and I think it's best to wait. I swear ... it seems that everywhere I turn somewhere is pregnant ... that makes it harder to wait!!!
