Since the wedding, I have found myself obsessed with all things baby. DH and I are not plannng on TTC until next year, and I am SO not ready to push that date up, yet I am all lurking on the Parenting board and reading all baby stuff. I go between totally excited to think of starting a family to completely terrified.
I cannot believe how many times DH and I have used the phrase 'when we have kids' over the last few months. We are looking to buy an SUV, and DH asked the dealer about safety ratings etc for when we have kids, and we were looking in the backseat to make sure there was room for a carseat! Can you imagine, DH and I were cracking up picturing ourselves as parents! We felt like kids impersonating adults Are we the only ones in this in-between stage?

Re: Baby Fever?
I think right now, we are fascinated w. the idea of a baby, but I dont think either of us wants to be getting up for 3am feedings. We are planning for me to stay home for at least the first year, and that makes it easier. But I like being able to have long weekends away w. DH, going out to dinner whenever we want, sleeping in until noon on Sundays.
Its so funny, my married BM and I were talking about how we spent our dating life trying so hard not to get preggo, now that we are married its like someone lifted the gate and said, OK, all set-go! and we are standing there all confused

Re: Baby Fever?
Sassy--you are right, FMLA only covers those with 50 or more employees. I got screwed big time since we only have 12 employees. I only got 3 weeks off and I had a c-section! Fortunately I was able to convince my boss to at least let me work from home for another 3 weeks but he said next time around I can only take my vacation time (4 weeks). I'm outta here. That is just so wrong!
