I know I said it over there, but I love Maebh. In reading the other comments, perhaps 'Anglicizing' the name to Maeve, might help with pronunciation here. They are all beautiful names though.

i have to say, I love Maebh and Aoife (DH will be doing Irish names for our children too, and these are on our list... also, another way to spell maebh is MAEVE.... much more common that way and Americans won't screw it up as much.
that said, I hate Reilly and Mackenzie. I am NOT a fan of last names as first names, JMO. i say stick something like Maeve or Aiofe if you wnat to go Irish. Reilly to me, is a puppy's name... and it's like Smith in Ireland... and EXTREMELY common last name.

My friend Dana has a friend named Maeve and I always thought that was SUCH a beautiful name
I also enjoy Charlotte & Chloe too

I love Mackenzie!! My friend's daughters name is Mackenzie and they call her Mack which I find adorable! Although I do love them all, I'm leaning towards Mackenzie!

I don't post on the preganancy board it freaks me out .
I like Maebh, that is my SIL's name. If you like the traditional spelling go for it. So many people have weird made up names that you need 12 years of hooked on phonics to try to figure out what it is. It will be difficult the first time people see it but after that she should be fine.
I am probably weird but the number of people saying they know someone that just had a baby and named it Chloe would turn me off that name. I really do love it but I wouldn't want my kid to forever be referred to as Chloe M. in school so she is not mixed up with Chloe L. and Khloee B.(since one of the moms will be creative and give it that weirdo spelling). Personally I would pick names that are not trendy or in any top name lists.
