For those of you who are already momnies or who are pregnant or who want to be a mom... (not yet - i promise to share when it's time).....
i'm trying to think of fun ways to let Dave and our parents know we're pregnant...
For Dave - i'm thinking of ordering a baby Steelers or Yankees jersey & walking into his job with it...but i really don't know if he'll GET that... He's a HUGE sports fan....

My sister got my parents a present...wrapped in a random bag and when they opened it up there were two onesies one blue and one pink and it said....'I'm worth the wait'....my parents faces were PRICELESS!!!!!

i'm not on LIF - i don't live on Long Island - i'm a NJ girl who grew up on and got married on LI...wasn't sure if it'd be okay....
there are many regular posters from florida, the carolinas, and texas...... everyone is welcome...

I wouldnt tell anyone until I went into labor. Then I would call someone for a ride to the hospital and say, 'BTW Ive been pregnant for the last nine months'
But really I never even thought about this. Children are so far from my mind right now !

08er crashing... if you think someone might have an awesome reaction, you might want to try to videotape it somehow.
we surprised my grandparents (who i am very very close with) with the news of our engagement, and my sis videotaped it --- my grandpa started singing and my grandma was equally excited and freaked out. it's something we will love to look back on.
might be nice to show a future down the road.
GREAT IDEA. I'm going to steal that when the time comes....

Sorry to crash, My sister got us all together to take a picture and as everyone was posing she told every she was expecting! it was really cute, she got everyones reaction in the pic.

I need to find a picture of what we did. I was a singer so I made tickets, like to a Broadway show. I copied the idea off the net to save $. My dad asked me when my next show was & I said 'funny you should ask. I got you guys tickets to my next big gig' and I handed them the tickets. Corny, yes but it was a great moment.
It looked JUST like these from littleangelannouncements.com. You can buy them online from them but I designed my own in Power Point. It might work for you on the sports theme. You could put something like 'in 9 long innings, we'll be having a baby' or something.
I put across the top 'a (my last name/his last name) Production for the title, I put 'we're having a baby' for the date I used our expected delivery date for section I out 'boy or girl'? for seat I put 'VIP' you get the idea.....

We told my family over Easter. I bought a yummy chocolate cheesecake from Audrey's Bakery and had them write, 'We're Having a Baby!' on it. My parents and sisters started crying!! It was great!!

There are a lot of NJ girls who post on LIF, there are ladies from CA and FL and many different places over there, even a few ladies who live in England.
