Baby question

I always wanted a child but when i moved in with fh, got my pup, i changed my mind - i really could not see one in my life

and that never changed

now that i am married all of a sudden i want one so bad. Is this normal - did you all feel this way

I feel like things are going to be so boring now with no wedding stuff and i know this sounds awful but i feel like a baby would occupy my now spare time lol

just curious if this happened to anyone

yeah i am trying to talk dh into it - he is telling me 2 -2 1/2 years he says hes not ready but honestly i dont think he ever will be

My DH used to say he wasnt ready, he wasnt ready, and then I explained that we will never be ready bc we will never know what it's like unless we have a baby. Now were definitely in the same boat and desperately want a baby...or two...lol

i always wanted a baby....BUT right after the wedding, i wanted one ASAP, it was more like i needed one, and that lasted about 3 months. then i was like wellll we can just wait. now, im waiting even longer then i originally planned, lol.

so to answer your question, yes, this happened to me!

Same here although the feeling has gotten increasingly stronger in the past few months.. Hopefully by the end of the summer we will be trying.

Yes i felt like that. When i was getting serious abotu my career i was so like NO WAY KIDS NO WAY! Now its so different when you ar ewith that person u truly love & is your Best friend u want to procreate with him. Its so normal. DH & I are def. on same page for having babies.

I don't have baby fever at all. I do want a baby soon, but more because I know the obstacles I am against and I am afraid to start trying to late in life.

DH would wait 3 years if I would let him.

I was the exact opposite. During wedding planning DH and I would talk about when we wanted to start a family. After the wedding everyone started asking when we were going to have kids and I began to panic- I am really selfish with my time and my sleep and I am not ready to give that up. Maybe things will change once I finish my PhD. I cannot wait too long I am going to be 34 this year.

I feel the same way. I am going to be 33 this year and I don't have baby fever at all! I know I should have it because of my age but I don't. Glad someone else close to my age feels the same way. You made me feel a little bit better.

However.......DH said this weekend he wants to start trying this year so he has the baby fever. I am starting to panic I don't know if I am ready?? But realitically we are not ready due to finances.
So I am torn.

i go from wanting one right no to sayng..ok mabe in a year

We should talk Dh and I had a pretty big fight over when we will TTC and I told him how I feel and he is upset with me. I feel guilty like I should have baby fever but it is just not in me at least not yet. I do not know IF I will ever be like the women on here who are anxious to have a baby. I love kids and enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephew but I do not know if I am programed for mommyhood.
