Im 10 weeks..and let me just tell you girls I've never expected my morning sickness to be as bad as it is (I think i may be a special case lol because its that bad)!!! Not trying to scare you any more just be prepared. DH just said to me yesterday he doesnt know how I get up everyday and go to work (its really hard) and continue to feel & get sick in work all day long!
Praying it gets better!

Re: baby related: anyone else feel this way?
I am PETRIFIED of pregnancy and child birth. I do NOT handle pain too well...and then the thought of raising a child... before we were married i was like 'oh, we could do it'.... now, its just... DH and I have different views on things.
babies are a big deal and lots and lots of work, and i'm just not ready for it now. I mean, if we did get pregnant, i'd be happy... but we're not trying and i'm still scared to death over the idea of being pregnant.

Re: baby related: anyone else feel this way?
me! moreso as I;ve gotten older and closer to having a baby. I've always been the girl saying I want 5 kids. But now as the possibility of us having a baby this year is REALLY high, I'm getting more and more scared. Not so much of labor (though I'm a little scared of that- I want a natural birth), but scared of losing the baby (had 2 miscarriages in 2005), and really scared of after the baby comes out..especially as a newborn. I feel like I will know nothing!!!! And I need my sleep. I'm scared of how I will be able to function without sleep.
I think all of these fears are normal, but definitely scared/excited all in one!

that was my mother when she was preggers with me. she was sick the ENTIRE pregnancy... like REALLY REALLY sick, which is why they stopped at me. she was fine with my brother (15 yrs apart) but I scared her out of having more.
from what I've been told, girls make you more uncomfortable (thats a nice way of putting it) than boys.
so... i see a little baby girl in your future
ps- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we're ready financially and I know I could handle raising the child but the thought of having a living thing growing inside of me FREAKS me out. IT IS IN THERE ALIVE!!!!

Re: baby related: anyone else feel this way?
If it makes you girls feel any better..Being pregnant is an experience- take it all in.. You wont value it as much until you feel the baby's first kick or the baby start to move.. That's priceless..
For the 'out' i recommend one thing..and one thing ONLY..Ready.. EPIDURAL!!!!!!!!!!
I've had one with- and my little one without- didn't have an option with my little one.. Forget the 'I wanna go au natural'........And for the after- Once that beautiful baby is in your hands.. Instinct kicks right in.. And you fall MADLY in love - more in-love than you are with your DH... yes it true!
Good luck to the prego's on here- and the ones for the future!
A friend of mine just gave birth after being married for 8+ years.. they decided to wait.. She called me when she went home and said to me..'now i know what you feel- and its awesome- i cant believe what i was missing'
Happy new year ladies

That was soooo sweet!!! :) Beautifully stated.
However, and not to start anything, I've always wanted to have a natural birth. I know some women who feel the same way and have had one, or who plan to and they don't regret it. Ever birthing experience is unique...I encourage all women who want to have a natural birth to try it!

Not starting anything at all ..
Alot of my friends felt the same way..
I got induced both times.. After my first son and the epidural i swore if they were all like him i would have 10.. i was walking around the hospital a few hours later.. lol
7 years later my little guy came along.. And i couldn't get the epidural.. needless to say i doubted i was gonna have any more.lol But i will say this.. After they put my little guy in my arms.. i forgot about the pain... well..kinda sorta at least..lol But he was all worth it.. so i get what you mean..

Re: baby related: anyone else feel this way?
DH and I were nervous...of how things would change and how pregnancy would affect my mood, body, everything. Well, we found out a month after the HM that we were expecting. I'm 8 months preggers - 33 weeks now, and have to say it is better than I expected. My cousin was sick for the first 4 months, then put on bed rest for the last 2.5 months... I was terrififed. As of now, I've only gained 13 poinds - low side, and I do eat. I have not been sick at all, no horrible side affects except the random charlie horse in my calf. I don't have any cravings or veins or swollen feet. I can still bend, not as far as I used to, but its to be expected. I've been very lucky and thank God for that. I only pray our delivery is just as easy.I do worry about everything else, but decided not to sweat the small stuff. In the end, yes, it will change EVERYTHING...but I know it will be worth it.
If you decide to have a baby....bets of luck to you. I hope your pregnancy goes as well as mine has.

OMG Gina, this is SO me!
I know becoming a mother is amazing and I love kids (i teach kindergarten) but when I see pregnant bellies...I'm sorry, I don't want to come across as rude or cruel or anything...but it freaks me out that there is child in that belly...growing and pushing and stretching
That being said, I do want to be a mother and I do look forward to it. I would love to have a family with DH...but not for a couple more years.
Please, NO offense to any of the pregnant ladies or TTC ladies

Re: baby related: anyone else feel this way?
I wish my DH would stop following me around asking to make a baby
I am so scared!!! Not of the fact that I wouldn't be able to raise a human being but of the fact that everything will change (sleep, money, freedom, etc).

I am so glad I am not the only crazy who feels this way!!!
But seriously... IT'S ALIVE IN YOUR BODY... if it were anything else living inside of you, you would get your own TLC special.

Re: baby related: anyone else feel this way?
I've got a few health issues that make me worried about having a healthy pregnancy. It's probably mostly anxiety about the whole process but those are my major concerns. I'm also a punk when it comes to pain, so the whole labor bit is frightening....the mechanics of the whole thing freaks me out. It seems impossible
