Congrats! I did the same thing - it's a nice cushion to the name change, isn't it?

DMV might not be so cool about it though - they would only let me have one middle initial on my license. Luckily my Middle and Maiden Names start with the same letter, so it wasn't like I had a tough choice!

so lucky...i tried doing that...they told me no, that i had to go to court and do a legal name change

Sorry to hear that, it's very frustrating that different offices of the same governmental agency operate differently. ..really makes you wonder (more) about the goverment's ability to function!!!

Thanks Christine! Yeah, you know my last name, I just couldn't get rid of it (plus we-the 4 sisters are the last of them and too many people know me professionally all over by it!) and my marriedlast name alone wouldn't sound right either so yeah...
