Update - Rocky's lungs are clear and the Dr is fine with his symptoms for now. I have to call her on Wed to give her and update and I have to give a fecal sample. He goes back on monday and they will extend his meds most likely.
I have to take Rocky (new puppy) to the vet. He has kennel cough but its not getting better and to be safe we are off to the Dr at 615.
I have never had a pet before so I might just be an over protective mom but I figure better to be safe then sorry.....they said kennel couch can turn into pneumonia so I'm a bit nervous!

my parents dog had that when he was puppy dont worry it will get better!!

Hope Rocky feels better! and I know how you feel about the vet. I have had Frankie for four months and we have been to the vet at least 5 times. It will take a while but you will come to know your pup very well and know when he needs the vet!

When I adopted my dog 9 years ago from NSAL she had Kennel Cough that progressed into pneumonia. It is VERY scary but treatable!! Good Luck!!

It is good you are bringing him in right away. They will put him on some antibiotics and he will get better. I know I sound like crazy dog mom right now but I use to sit in the bathroom with the door shut, and the shower running with really hot water so it would get all steamy. It helped to break up the mucus in his little lungs. Try that if he is having a coughing fit it always worked for us. Feel better rocky!

Its good that your taking him though, my puppy had kennel cough and it turned into pneumonia and had to stay at the vet hospital for 4 days
