I just thought it was a cool idea. I happen to like the more spiritual ones, but they have alot of other cool ones. If they are Jewish, they have a Mitzvah Blessing as well. :)

I guess it depends on what kind of people they are. If they are kind of 'Artsy' and into modern stuff, then maybe something from Urban Outfitters or something along those lines. If you can't figure anything out, I think a gift card to a place like Pier 1 , Lowe's or some place like that would also be nice. :) I don't know if this seems stupid or not, but I always give people something that relfects my style also this way whenever they use it they will think of me. I have given people platters/serving dishes that have cute designs, or cupcakes on them so that whenever they use them they will think of me b/c I love cupcakes!

Last weekend we went to visit our friends who just purchased their first home. We gave a bottle of wine and this really cute appetizer tray. They really seemed to like it.

I know what you mean about not knowing what the family plaque would look like in person. I was worried too. But, I have to say, I was really surprised how nice it was and my sister loved it. I got it all - plaque, gift wrap and shipping - for less than $100! It's cool because when I go over to see her, the gift I gave them is hanging in her living room!
