Beyonce at the Tree Lighting.

This is a RP from LIF:

So what did you all think?

The Ave Maria is a very special song for me. It was sung at my grandmother's funeral and at my wedding. . . I was so excited to hear that she was going to sing it and then what the heck did she actually sing? And not to be an old fart, she looked AMAZING but I didn't think that dress was appropriate for the occasion OR the song.

I thought I was the only one who thought something, actually my mom commented on it too - but then on Z100 they were talking about it.

i thought the song was a little wierd?!? at the beginning i thought it was going to be a song about mary, and then as she kept singing i was like 'huh?' it was just wierd! lol. i thought as always she was stunning..(even though i didn't care much for her dress or hair)..that being said, her dress was lowcut but i didn't think it was trashy in any way. very classy actually & i did like all the sparkles. but yea, the song... she of course sounded great - but it was definetly a strange take on it!

It wasn't what I was expecting, and I didn't really catch all of the words, but I didn't really over-analyze it. I do think she sang it beautifully though. I remember thinking the dress was beautiful, but don't really remember the detail of it.

I was super excited when I heard she'd be singing the Ave Maria (we had it sung at our wedding too). Then when she started singing I was like but to be honest, I also didn't overanalyze it and it sounded beautiful.

The dress I didn't LOVE, but I didn't think it was inappropriate - it's a holiday special, some people got more dressed up than others. What I did notice was that the double sided tape she used was showing and it looked like the dress was going to pop open at any second!

Also, her makeup and skin looked fabulous. We have a 50' tv and they did a few SUPER closeups that I was like EEEEEK too close! but made me see just how pretty her face/skin looked.

I don't think the dress was super flattering on her. But I think it was fine for the occasion. The sarkles were fun and christmasy- and the tree lighting is a fun occasion and is supposed to have an element of fun which I think is what she thought the dress did maybe?

i wasn't crazy about her dress either! i mean, she's beyonce, so she was gorgous regardless - but i was NOT crazy about it.... or her hair! thought SHE was beautiful..'cause again, she's beyonce lol..but i've definetly seen better dresses on her!

Oy I did not watch the Tree lighting, but that dress does NOTHING for her whatsoever. She is beautiful and the dress doesn't fit her body right

I feel like lately she is just popping out of everything and dont get me wrong - she definitely should wear as little clothing as possible but if it looks like you are going to pop out at any moment and you can SEE the double sided tape it takes away from the effect

I think bc it IS a religious song, about the Virgin Mary - I was kind of annoyed that she made it into something else.

I think that dress makes her hips look HUGE. I know she's got thunder thighs, but I never thought that was a bad things, and I never noticed her as being hippy - and this dress accentuates her bottom half.

the song got destroyed in my opinion and she looked like she was going to the biggest award show ever, not shaking in the cold at the tree lighting...
i was very disappointed but then again i dont really like her or her music that much anymore

really? I feel like beyonce is KNOWN for her 'bottom half' lol i dont think this dress flatters her in anyway, but i've always loved her hips/thighs/butt...i think that's her trademark she's HOURGLASS if i ever saw one!

Typically when people perform for the lighting, they wear something a little more holiday themed and wintery, you know what I mean.

Im kinda sick of beyonce.. i feel like shes on a commercial every time i turn on the tv and shes plastered all over every magazine. I dont get the whole sasha fierce thing ( why does she have a name that she calls herself on stage? - weird) But regardless of how i feel about her i dont think that dress fit the whole theme.

To tell you the truth, I was half paying attention so I really didn't notice that much...I was listening to it more. I didn't notice the tape. I was just surprised she sang her own rendition of it. Really, they shouldn't have announced she was singing Ave Maria or they should have said she was singing her own 'special' version of it. I guess it shouldn't really be surprising that she had to add her own flair to it. I understand what you're saying though.
