BID!!!!

We put a bid on a house tonight.. Bellmore, beautiful 5 bdr. 1 bth.. HUGE kitchen!! its beautiful, move in condition, we wouldnt even have to paint!!! im keeping my fingers crossed but i had to tell you guys!!!

Good luck! I have a question, how much below the asking price did you bid? We are looking for houses in the same area: bellmore/merrick but have no idea how much to bid below the price. Also, where is the bathroom in relation to the bedrooms in the house? I want a lot of bedrooms too but am not sure if we need more than 1 bathroom. This house stuff is too confusing!!!

ABC7077 - One of absolutely non-negotiable point on our house was at least 1.5 baths (a half bath is a toilet & sink - no tub or shower for those that don't know the term) We were so tired of sharing one bathroom, especially when we had guests. And with 5 bedrooms, that could be a long line for the bathroom to get ready in the morning when you have kids. If the house doesn't have a second bath already, does it have room to convert a space for one?

abc.... We bid 20K less than the asking price.. I say it depends on how much work the house needs.. This house is in move in condition.. We have 5 bd, however, we would make one of the downstairs bds a dining room, and the other an office.. the upstairs has not been dormered yet (its a cape) so if i ever want to add more bedrooms and another bath i could..probably a couple of years down the road...

Bellmore and merrick are GREAT towns, i live here now and just love it!
