Big companies on LI???

So the job search is slow, and I've been researching big companies on LI, places that are doing well financially and that are notoriously good places to work. I've got a list going, but can anyone recommend a company you worked for, work for now, or that you know of that fits these criteria? I'm just sending resumes out, hoping it will catch someone's attention -- anything is possible, right???

ugh don't go for a state job (they aren't hiring really anyway and if you do get hired for some strange reason it is because that section isn't state funded and you will probably get laid off) that and the pay isn't very competitive depending on what your going for.

Woman's day runs a list of the top 100 companies for women to work for- one that I remember that are in LI are Weight Watchers.

Other ones- Bed, Bath & Beyond is in Farmingdale. I'll think of others

Thanks hon. I looked into BBB last week and only their merchandising is on LI - not the communications dept ... and WW moved to NJ a few years ago I think, a friend of mine works there.

I will lok at women's day online now! Newsday has a list of the top 75 companies on li but I can't see it online, the link to this list isn't working I plan on going to the library today to see if I can get it on that damn old microfilm ... grrr. I will have to have a librarian help me, I haven't used that since college 10 years ago!!!!!
