Biiiiig Pet Peeve!!!

People that don't say thank you when you hold the door for them! UGH. I'm always tempated to yell 'YOU'RE WELCOME!!!' but I usually let it go unless I want to be a b*tch lol

It's very annoying. I went to Old Westbury Gardens with my parents & DH for Mother's Day. We went inside of the mansion and my Dad opened the door for someone on her way out. He held the door open, and three more people came through it. Not ONE of them said 'thank you.' My Dad is such a kind, polite guy who is always helping people, so that made me really mad. After the last one went through, I said very loudly, 'No thank you? He's not your doorman.'

It's very rude... I can't stand it!

Though I am bad - when ever anyone does something were a 'thank you' should be said.... I will say 'your welcome!' as loud as I can.

Ughhhhhhhhh I do this all the time. I actually did it one day in Grand Central and yelled 'You're welcome!' at the guy. And then it turned out he was a guest at my company. Whoops!

that is something that would happen to me

and yes, a HUGE pet peeve of mine too. and i hate it when a holes don't hold the door open either when you are RIGHT behind them. annoying!

I often say 'You're Welcome' in a not-so-b1tchy kinda way to prove a point. I am ALL about small acts of kindness.....which includes a simple 'thank you' after having a door held for you.

Ugh, it's even worse when they won't even hold the door for themselves. Like the person in front of them will hold the door and they'll just breeze on through without touching it so that it slams in the face of the person behind them!

I feel like throwing something at the back of their heads.

When I was in Mass. visiting a friend, I went shopping with DH while she was at work. We went to the Wrenthem outlets and NO ONE said thank you when I help the door for them! What's with that??? It happened like 3 times in a row!

I had such a fit about it!
