BLinds or no Blinds on these windows? (added few pix for possible reasons for needing blinds...but not sure)
I figured, since we're going home-post crazy, I'd get your input!
FI wants to put blinds up on the back windows in the bedroom...I don't want to, because there's no one to look in out there (only the boaters, but whenever I'm on the water I can never see into people's homes because of the reflection of the sun...but possibly at night)
and I don't like the look of blinds.
But, maybe he's right...please tell me what you think?
Blinds on these windows/and doors? We have blinds on the side walls, just not on the back.
I would say no blinds b/c you would blocking all that fabulous light.
Maybe some sort of guazy organza sheers just so people cant see directly into your bedroom.

I'm really retarded with this home stuff, what are organza sheers? Do you mean like the sheer fabric blinds?

I would put something.... sleeping in must be a b*tch in that room! LOL!
Organza sheer curtains, not blinds- I HATE blinds too- there are NONE in my home.

The sunlight coming in doesn't really affect me...I can sleep through a lot!

I agree with Stef...some nice sheers that can be pushed aside during the day to see that FABULOUS view but at night drawn for some privacy!

No only do I have sheer organza curtains on my windows but I have wood old-school shutters. (they are actually from the building which was built in 1860)... it's like sleeping in a tomb! I love it.. especially on a rainy Sunday when I just want to sit in bed and watch tube.. (and we've been getting PLENTY of rainy Sundays).

Kathy: Sheers are very thin curtains made with translucent material. Sort of like gauze or something like a brides veil. They are very cheap but look beautiful with the light streaming in or even billowing in the wind :D

Agree with Stef, a sheer curtain would look beautiful and give you a little privacy but you would be able to pull them away during the day.

I don't like the sheer curtain idea...you'd have to hang rods and drill holes and it would cover those windows way too much. I say leave them alone.
Your hubby sounds like he enjoys way too much privacy to be living in a house with so many windows!
Have you considered Plantation shutters? The hardware on those would hang inside the window frame - you could even get the ones that slide back and forth or the ones that open like doors. They might look nice.

No blinds. Those windows are too fabulous to cover up and besides, like you said, no one can see you anyway.

I think it looks perfect the way it is. As long as no one can see in, and you have privacy why cover them up. I think they are too beautiful to cover up
