My sister just called me and said the 'bloods' & 'crips' are slashing peoples faces in NYC. I tried looking online about this and cant find anything. She's at work now and I guess heard this??

Wow, they are still at it? This reminds me of HS days. So sad....I hope they don't really start things up tonight, or EVER for that matter!

I work in a HS in Queens. We go through this every year. It's a rumor that is quickly reaching legend status much like flashing your headlights and getting shot by a gang member.

Yes be VERY careful. I work in Newark, on a college campus police station, and we were told bloods and crips were targeting women, that they wanted to kill 22 women before halloween is over. October is known to be 'initiation' month, or they call it 'bloody october'.. Be very aware of your surroundings. Its scary what this world has come too

I also want to add that it may be different in NYC, but it wasn't a rumor in Newark NJ. 6 women were shot in a drive by last Friday, and one Newark Police officer was also shot at.

I wanted to chime in here. I work in Jamaica and we get rumors like this ALL the time. . . but please dont think that it means that it doesnt happen!!

My friend is a rookie cop in the area and he said that 8 people have been shot in the area in the past 28 days AND they are receiving warnings about the gang initiations as well. When I left work I counted at least six cops on my block ALONE.

DH surprised me and woke up this morning and drove me to and from work.

The threats are for Brooklyn too.
