Does your company give you an end of the year bonus? (seperate from an xmas gift). Mine does them in February apparently. Some people think the percentage we get may be down this year, but don't think they will be cut. I know a lot of companies in the financial world are cutting them. I just hope it isn't getting cut and they dont tell us!!!
dh works in finance. they're not getting any. yes he's upset but he's grateful that he still has a job
Only the salespeople at my company get bonuses. But DH gets one. He works for an investment bank (one of the few that are doing well!), so there were a few months where we thought he wouldn't get one, but he was assured by his boss last month that he would. Only crappy part is that it won't be more than last year's bonus and of course, this past year he has worked harder than ever before and really deserves a bigger bonus. But we're not complaining... we're just thankful he's getting one at all!!
My company is still standing and doing well- but due to the economy its not as well as like last year or the year before, but still doing fine. But some of us were wondering if they would get cut by a lot or sgtay the same. Guess it will be a surprise!
I get a bonus because of the position I hold. I'm a float nurse and I go where they need me. Sometimes it can be dificult but I enjoy it. I should be getting my bonus soon.
