Boston...

Dh and I wanna plan a small getaway that's only the 2 of us that really constitutes as a real babymoon. The last two trips we took we had family with us.

I chose boston because I have never been there. What can we do? Where can we eat?

Re: Boston...

OOOO I just went this weekend!

- We saw a Red Sox game (just for the Green Monster, NOT fans)
- We went to a comedy show, Improv Asylum in the North End
- We walked Newbury Street and Quincy Market. for shopping
- We went to 'Cheers' (totally touristy, but cute nonetheless)
- We ate lunch outside by the aquarium
- We visited Samuel Adam's grave, Paul Revere's house and walked the Freedom Trail
- Not really applicable but we also did the Harpoon Brewery tour

We never made it down to the Charles River, which I wanted to do, but we had a great time.

In the North End, there were SO many restaurants, but from someone who lives in Boston, I was told that you've got to do Legal Seafood. Even though it's a chain, the headquarters is there and he says it's the freshest seafood you'll find. They even have Legal Test Kitchen, where they try out dishes to be added to the menu at all of their locations.

HTH

Oh wow. LOL.

I went on a website and it says there's 2 restaurant weeks in August. Restaurants are a must lol. I was thinking about Fenway just to say I went there.

Thanks Lindsay!

Re: Boston...

One more thing - we stayed with a friend when we went, but if you can spring for it , check out the Liberty Hotel! It's an old jail turned hotel and it's super cool. Friends recently stayed there when they went to Boston and they said there was a full-on fashion show one night, right in the lobby. It was on our short list before our friend offered up his home for us to stay at.

Definitely try Todd English's restaurant 'Kingfish'. Best tuna steaks ever!
