Both My Parents and inlaws just freaked me out!!!!!!!!! UPDATE

DH has been sick since yesterday. First it started out as a cold- cough, sore throat, runny nose.I thought he cought my cold. Well,he just took his temp and its over 102.

I talked to my parents and DH talked to his and they both were like, he needs to go to the doctor, he could have swine! And they were all flipping out. MIL asked to speak to me and was like you need to drive him to a dr. he cant drive with a fever that high. Like I would actually make my sick husband drive to the dr. by himself!!!!!!!!

Anyway, DH refused to go and he's sitting here and doesnt even seem that sick, even though his fever is still kind of high. The only reason Im nervous is because- 1. the high fever and 2. on sat. night he complained of shortness of breath (also a symptom of swine).

I told DH if he dies in the middle of the night because he wouldnt go to the ER I was going to be so mad at him!

Thanks for all your kind words! DH is fine. He even went to work today. I got worried for nothing. D@mn parents!

Oh Gail! I am sure he's fine. Most likely though if he has the flu it's swine, but if he's baseline healthy it's nothing to worry about - just like the regular flu!

Call the doctor and see what they say. Some MDs are prescribing tamiflu without patients coming in ... but you didn't hear it from me ...

Thanks Marissa! He promised he'd go to the dr. tomorrow if he still has a fever. My MIL p!ssed me off though acting like I would make him drive himself to the ER! W*T*F!

Well of course - no one can ever take care of a boy better than his mommy ...

Hope he feels better and just give him tylenol for his fever.

And even if its the swine unless he has other medical problems he will be fine......I know so many people who have had swine and all were fine....just sick for a week or two.

Oh my gosh! I hope he's ok. I would force him to the doctor. Although, both my aunt and cousin had the swine flu and they were totally ok a week later. So it's really not as bad as everyone is saying.

It's most likely the flu. Don't worry about the swine- like 5 people in my family had it and it's still going up. It's really not that bad and they all survived. He is going to need to see a doctor though so he can get on the meds superfast if that's the case. I hope your DH feels better fast!

everyone is sick right now, its just the noramal winter cold! im the same way tho, i never wanna go to the doctor, cuz the times i actually do go the dr. tells me im fine.

Just keep an eye on him. When I went to the doctor with the same symptoms a month or two ago they tested me for the swine but told me there was nothing they could give me at that point and to just rest. The doctor actually told me she has seen worse cases of the regular flu then the swine. He needs alot of rest and fluids!
