Boyfriend Spinoff

How many serious bf did you have before DH?

I had 4 serious, long-term relationships before DH. Some were tumotulous (sp) but I feel they taught me alot and I wouldnt take any of them back.

What about you girls??? I know some of you are HS sweethears

lol All of my relationships really only lasted for no more than a month. I just couldn't tolerate people that much and I got bored and just left them after about a month lol

The longest and most serious was about a year with that other guy.

I had two serious BF's before DH and through them I ultimately learned what I didn't want out of a relationship. Other than that I dated a lot.

I had 3 serious boyfriends before DH. I really did learn so much from each of them. Its the reason I knew I was meant to be with DH. He was nothing like the rest

3 i guess, if you dont count DH

1) in 10th & 11th grade I had a serious relationship with my best friend John. we never really defined ourselves as bf/gf but it went on for 2 years and we were completely devoted to each other. although i was not in love with him. looking back now it was not a good idea to have been that close to him knowing that he was more romantically involved than i was.

2) in 12th grade I was in a serious relationship where he joined the Navy and went away. I honestly believed I was going to marry him. it ended badly.

3) before i met DH i dated this guy for 2 years. it was horrible. off n on because we were always fighting and breaking up then getting back together the next day. he cheated on me like crazy. i broke up with him for good when I met DH

I had 4 as well. I had a few smaller relationships in between that i wouldnt consider serious. I think i learned alot from all of it.

I've had 5 serious boyfriends (DH is considered the 5th)

That's not counting the guys I used to hook up with in between lolol

I had 4 serious boyfriends. I guess. Maybe just three? My first boyfriend and I dated for 9 months but I was 15 and he was 19 - it was 'serious' in the fact that it was exclusive and because it was my first, I thought it was very serious - but looking back it wasn't really serious at all. I told him I loved him but I do not know if I did.

I had 2 guys that I dated in college for about 6 months each - I consider those serious, but again, compared to DH - uh, no, they weren't. More so than the 1st guy though!

And then there were guys I dated for 2 months, etc ...

DH was the only one I dated for more than 9 months! How crazy is that? I got annoyed at the others after about 6 months! Something they would do would start to annoy me and then I couldn't think about anything BUT that one thing. I never thought that about DH.

I had a bunch of 6-10 month relationships from HS to college. My second year of college i met someone and was with them for five years. Then I was with someone else for three years. Then dh!!

long-term?? i would say 2. i dated a bunch & had my share of 'boyfriends' whom i really liked but were better off as friends..however if we're talking a year or more then 2 other than the dh

I dated guys but had no interest in anything serious until I met DH. Plus we were only 21 when we got serious

I never had one as serious as DH. I had a guy who I was on and off with for like 2 years, but it was never really serious. And I had a couple of 3-5 month relationships.

I had 2 serious boyfriends before DH. I dated the Cali guy from 1998-1999. I dated another guy from the end of 1999 thru early 2004! That was a mutual break-up and right after we broke up, he 'conveniently' began dating this girl from his job who I had always been jealous of, and who he always SWORE to me was more like a sister to him. Yeah, they got married like a year later. JERK! I then casually dated a guy for like 5 months before I met DH in September 2004. I would not take back any of those relationships tho, b/c I truly learned so much from all of them, both about myself and also what I wanted in a partner. DH is nothing like any of those jerks LOL!

I had 1 from age 14-18. I regret it because I was super respectful in they way that I did not go out partying without him (girls night out). he is a nice guy but I feel I could have used my time better. As far as learning about life regarding relationships, I have learned all I need to know with DH. I also found myself and realized who I truly am. I learned and realized that there is more to this life than just my relationship with DH. I grew a lot when we both separated for a while. I handle situations better, I know what I want more than ever.

I had too many to count. Almost all of my boyfriends were long term.

13 years first (hard to believe I didn't marry him right)
5 years
3 years
1 yr 8 months
then DH

I had 4 serious bf's before my relationship with DH.

Right before dating DH I was in an up and down relationship for two years. We just didnt get along. In retrospect, it was our physical chemistry that held us together. Not really the best thing to base a relationship on.
