Bridal Shower Gift Poll

Okay here's the scenario.... (and this is totally hypothetical I'm just curious)

One of your BM's is getting married and you are NOT asked to be in the wedding... You know she chipped in for your shower and also bought you a gift

As far as her shower gift do you

1. match the cost of the gift
2. match the amount she chipped in for you shower & gift combined
3. fall somewhere in between

I'd probably match the cost of the gift or somewhere in between. If she didn't ask you to be a BM, her BMs are taking care of the shower costs!

hmmm...maybe I should re-phrase that. I meant match the amount she chipped in for your shower plus the cost of the gift in the form of a bigger gift for her.

Maybe I wasn't clear, sorry.

I AM in this situation! She purchased all my baking things for my shower- it probably came out to like $150? I'm getting her the Margaritaville which is a little over $200.

i would match the full amount (gift + shower contribution)

think of it this way....she is SAVING YOU money, since you dont need to buy a dress, etc....so i think (as long as you still like the girl) you can match it

i'd probably give closer to what she gave me .... possibly even more, depending waht the gift itself was.
