Brides who used Placecard candles.....

Where did they have the placecard candles set up? I am having an outside cocktail hour and the crest hollow wants to set them up outside and I keep telling them NO...I want a seperate table set up in the reception room....My BM says that all the people will crowd around the table then to get them. But if they are outside it will defeat the purpose. What do you think?

You have to have them set up somewhere guests can pick them up as they come into the reception room, otherwise they are going to have to carry around a lit candle for an hour.

We had it set up at a table near the entrance of our reception room. There was a line at one point but i dont think that is such a big deal.

We had them set up in a hall that was sort of the enterance hall, alongside the cocktail hour and reception room. Though they were just outside of the cocktail hour. Most people picked them up sometime during the cocktail hour, though they could have gotten them just before coming in to the reception. It was ok for them to have the during the cocktail hour though (I was there for the entire hour). Some people blew them out, others didn't. Many put them on the cocktail hour table where they were sitting. It looked pretty to have the candles around that room. They will be fine wherever you put them, imo.
