Brides who wore ballgowns: What kind of slip did you get???

I am not sure what kind of size or style..I want a lot of fullness, and the ones in the stores only have crinoline towards the bottom???

Good question. It wasn't something I could really be bothered to buy, so I borrowed my sister in law's. It was three teirs, but, yes, it seemed a little poofy towards the bottom, so we cut out some of the poofiness--unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of that scanned, but it was hilarious because of course I waited until the last minute to do the cutting, ie when I was actually getting dressed for the wedding, and there was my mom, MOH and grandmother--all dressed for the wedding--kneeling around me with scissors as I tried to hold my dress up and tell them where to cut. Needless to say, photographer had a field day with that one

Once it was cut, it didnt' seem too, too poofy. I am very wary of the triangle look. This actually is the only picture where it looks like a triangle and I think it was because the limo driver fanned out my train just before I walked down the aisle.

Anyway, I didn't want a super poofy look, so had I bought one, I would've bought one or two tier.

I had the fullest crinolin they made and then the tailor lifted the layers so it added layers on top.

I know some people have used the hoop slip.

I got a great hoop skirt on ebay. It was terrific! I even lent it to a friend who also loved it!

I had a hoop skirt too! It kept my legs nice and cool and made my skirt really full. The women at the bridal shop thought I was crazy, but I am so glad I didn't listen to them.

My legs were SO hot from all the dancing...I wish I had that hoop skirt!

At first I had the cinderella poof..Way too big for me. I couldnt dance or anything when I practiced dancing. So then I went to the one under theat. It was just perfect.

I had a ball gown style. I wore a full slip underneath which was great for the look and feel. My legs didn't feel sweaty. The top of the slip was not included.
