Does anyone know how I can get good seats to a Bway show for cheaper? I want to take my 6 yr. old niece to see the Little Mermaid on 5/8 or 5/9 but I cant afford to pay over 200 for both of us and since this is the first time going to a Bway show I want her to have the best seats possible. And she's tiny so I dont want her to not be able to see the stage. How can I get discount tix but GOOD seats!
I know they have those stands in Times Square. How does that whole thing work???

it's really hard to get discounts on a new show. Once it's been opened a while u could go on the tkts line in time square, but definetly not yet. Sometimes when i want to find cheap tickets i'll just google 'discount broadway' and it'll pull up a bunch of sites that have offers...u can also try ebay??? wish i could help more but being that it just opened it's gonna be a little tough! good luck!

I usually find discounts on broadwaybox.com. But like Taryn said, that show will be a hot ticket for awhile. You won't see a discount until the show's popularity dies down a bit. The TKTS booth is located by the Marquis theater....you have to get there early and wait online- it's a crapshoot because it's same day tickets and you have to pay in cash. You never know what show will be available. It's a good choice if you're flexible in what show you want to see and if it's a long running show that's not a huge hit.
I follow this website to see which shows have been available lately on the TKTS lines.
