Brunettes... anyones hair turn golden in the sun?

Is there any way to make those highlights even more pronounced other than going to the beach? usually in the summer my hair gets really really light and then I'll get some blond highlights..

But i don tknow how much at the beach I'll be this year and want that summer hair!

Any advice on what to do?

Thanks ladies<3

Mine does....its sooo weird!

When I was younger I used Sun In and it made it super light but I don't think they sell that anymore.

i used to use sun-in all the time when i was younger! basically turned the top of my head blonde one year! LOL

i ususally get highlights put in, in the begining of the summer and the sun usually turns the highlights lighter...giving that summer hair.

I think they say if you put lemon in your hair when you’re out in the sun it makes it blonder too… I was always scared to try it, I thought I’d turn orange.

OMG, I used Sun In when I was in middle school. I used so much that my hair turned like orange. I wish I had a picture on my computer show. I was ridiculous. But I liked it at the time...I look back now and say, WHAT was I thinking?!?!

But, Jenny...yes, my hair turns a lovely golden shade in the summer. No idea what you can do to get that look without the sun

if you dont make it to the beach this summer then just make sure you sit out side a lot.

I've also read many places to put lemon juice and distilled water in a spray bottle, and separate highlights out, and spray them. Then sit in the sun, and then rinse it out.

I put the stuff from John Frieda in my hair when I was younger, it was from the blonde collection but I used it anyways lol. It was basically just lemon gel, no chemicals, so it didn't really work. But my hair is really dark. And I lost all my blonde from when I was a baby, my hair gets copper now in the sun instead. When I go for haircuts they always ask me if I'm growing out a dye-job and it's like nope...I just get weird copper tips

I used to do that when I was younger. It does work however I think I remember having a lot more bugs around my head than normal!

Like someone already mentioned, lemon juice will lighten your hair.

ETA: If you want to bring out your natural highlights (in my case a reddish brown) then a black tea rinse will do the job.

Jenny, try using a shampoo that has natural chamomile in it. My mom used to use it on my hair all the time and I would get really beautiful highlights in the summertime from it.

You could prob find it in a health food type of store.
