Cablevision!

So i go online today to pay my bill and umm its $50 more than usual!! so im thinking maybe Chris ordered a UFC fight or something, but im like nooo i dont think he did, so i called to find out what the deal was and they said that my promotional rate expired on march 15th (that was a year since we got the service)
so i was like umm well when i got cable they were having a promotional offer that if you gave a bill from a different provider, basically showing you switched to cable your promotional rate was 2 years!!

well what happend was i gave the previous bill to the cable guy who installed our cable and he umm never handed it in! and i complained about that last year! and they had that on record, but now are saying they eventually got the bill and the bill was older than 30 days so they couldnt accept it!

the lady was going to have to talk to someone higher up and get back to me! umm whatever cablevision you **** anyways! our bill for 2 boxes and just hbo will be $$$186 what?? you gotta be kidding me!! i asked my mom how much they pay and they havae 3 boxes, and have hbo and showtime and pay $170 somthing!!
well if they dont give me one more year at the rate then umm im switching!!

i think i might just switch every year so that i can just keep getting the promo rate! LOL if cable vision is done, then i get verizon, when verizon is done i go back to cablevision...

is direct tv in all locations? how much do you pay? if you dont mind me asking..
and does it have like the phone and internet too?

the only reason we want hbo is for true blood and we just found out its coming back in june, so we will prob cancel it after that.

i need more money...

im going to start stripping to pay the bills! HAHAHAHA totally kidding!

And I thank god everyday that DH works for cablevision and that we save $200 every month with free cable, net, and phone

No... For us, its about $65 every 3 months... (They bill you 4x a year) ... We never recieved the first bill so we got hit twice

switch to FIOS.....we did and then cablevision will beg you to come back. Fios you get the price for 2 years and if you do ever want to go back to cablevision then you can and cablevision will pay all kinds of extras.....

Play the game. But I have to say we hae had FIOS for 2 years and I would pay more for FIOS cause the service is better and the picture is amazing compared to cablevision

He used to live next door to his best friend who seriously considered running cable wires betweent he houses to get all the free channels Its such an awesome perk... but if you girls keep leaving cablevision, we'll prob end up suffering and having to pay LOL

Actually I was just about to make a post abut FIOS/Cablevision to see which people like better... we're not sure which one we want in the new house.

We have the same exact situation, minus the having a bill from another company. Our promotional rate expired this month, and our bill went up to $186.

It stinks.

I have Fios and I refused to get Cablevision when I moved back to LI.

I paid $178 when I was in Queens for 2 boxes, one with a DVR and then I had the internet.

Now I pay $165 a month for 4 boxes, 2 DVRS, all HD, and high speed internet + a home phone!

Call Cablevision and tell them you're switching to Fios!

Every single time I call Fios they give me something for free, last time they knocked $30 off my bill for the next YEAR, every month! I don't know why anyone still wastes their time with cablevision!

I have cablevision for internet and cable....I like it. We're still in the first year trial and pay abt $85.....how much will it go up after the year???

we have the triple play and it was $99 +tax and stuff, and then we added hbo so it came total with tax to $136ish, but now its $186!!
