CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
Did you wait the full year? Was it any good? I don't think I want to wait (plus we plan on moving before then so it wouldn't stay frozen in the move)...we were thinking of on our 1 month

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
Ours didn't even make it home!!
We stayed at a hotel the night of our wedding and the cake didn't fit in the fridge. So we brought it to my moms the next day, but it smelled really bad so we had to throw it out!!
No cake for us on our 1 year anniversary!!

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
our drunk best man dropped the cake and left over pastries.. he was carrying it for us into our suite and he tripped and fell. I managed to save some of it and froze it.. but i will NOT eat it! on the one year anniversary, well watch our video and pretend to eat it

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
We waited the full year. It kind of tasted like cardboard. I don't think we stored it very well, it was kind of just in the box.

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
We went back to our reception site for dinner and reminisce our wedding day exactly a year ago. We ordered food that was from our wedding and I try to re-live that day all over again. We met with the banquet manager for an in-person thank you and ordered a replica of our wedding cake. The replica of our wedding cake outside was not the same but the filling is exactly the same as the taste. We decided to cut our wedding cake 12 pieces for 12 months of the year where each month on the day we would have a piece of our cake. We save the biggest piece for our one year anniversary and the taste was definitely not the same. I'm glad we cut it 12 pieces and each month we have a piece because the blackout would spoil the entire cake! We were glad to have a fresh cake replica of our wedding cake!
He gave me concert tickets to see Shania Twain and he is undecided with his gift. 1st year anniversary--paper, concert tickets is paper.

I should have ate more of it right away. I wanted to eat some the night after our wedding before we left for our honeymoon but DH wanted to wait. I waited for my 1 year it it was so gross.

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
hehe by the time we got to like 6 months it looked gross. i would have been much happier eating it earlier instead of throwing it away like we did!

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
Had to chuck it...my parents brought it home and never put it in the fridge...DH & I were over there late afternoon the next day and it was still on the table in the kitchen...it smelled so we chucked it.TO be totally honest, I never was too keen on eating yr. old cake anyway.

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...
we celebrated just last week so we ate the good ol' cake.it was OK. the frosting was completely nasty, but the inside was pretty good. I even ate 2 slices... probably more for sentimental reasons rather than the taste alone...

If you don't want to wait, get it re-created. This way it is fresh!
