Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...

We ate our like 3 weeks after the wedding.
Our bakery makes you a free small size for your anniversary so we will eat that one!

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...

Well here's our story.

We eat at Vincent's all the time. But never a big blow out meal and never dessert.

We got married at the Town Hall and since it was mid morning (around 11) we went for lunch at Vincent's. We had a wonderful lunch with wine and great salmon. Perfect. For dessert we ordered their Chocolate Mousse cake.

Like complete happy fools we fed eachother the cake. Im sure people thought we were the oddest couple they had seen. Kept referring to ourselves as Mr & Mrs X. or Hubby and Wife.

I know it may not sound romantic but it was ours and we loved it and hold that moment precious. We refuse to order that cake now (we never had before either) and promised to go back if we can next year and have our meal there for our 2 year anniversary.

This year (our 1year) we are having our wedding cake. No need to save any. I get my wedding ring for my 1 year anniversary. We've had it for a while but it's still at the store. I won't get it until this year.

Paper?

For that we may just exchange our vows written out. Knowing Jim though he'll be smart and buy me a book (i love to read) and I'll get him his favorite Magazine as a subscription (it's an import and hard to find as well as expensive, but he likes it)

Re: CAKE ON THE 1 YR...

I say eat the cake at the one month mark, we just ate ours after the full year and even though DH had two slices it would of been ten times better after a month instead of a year
