alrighty so our 1year anniversary is this Saturday!!! i can't believe how fast it's gone So of course i'm asking the ever popular 'de-frosting the cake' question...so - ladies that have already done so - if i put it in the fridge thursday evening do u think it will be entirely defrosted for saturday night?? it'll be 2full days i guess..not sure if i should take it our wed...or maybe early on thursday?? what do u think???

Re: CAKE TIME!!!
I would think that 2 days would be fine....I plan on also defrosting ours for the 1 year mark....since we really didn't taste ours at the wedding! I'm sure it won't be as good as when its fresh.....you have to come back and tell us how it tasted!

I've heard that they usually taste like old fuzzy ice cubes. DH and I ate our cake top when we came home from our honeymoon. Other than the bite we fed each other, we never got to eat cake.
Defrost it slowly in the fridge without unwrapping it, 2 days should be fine.

I should have done that.... We gave a ton to his parents which worked out because they had guests staying with them, they said it was DELISH!

Re: CAKE TIME!!!
I think we took ours out two nights ahead of time and put it in the fridge. So I think Thursday night or even Friday morning should be fine. It was SOOOOOOOO good- I want more!
