Cake Top in the Freezer -- ???

Finally Monday is my one year anniversary -- I finally get the cake out of my freezer that was taking up so much room!!!

What do I do to defrost it? Do I take it out today and put it in the refrigerator or do I just take it out of the freezer and leave it out?

TIA

I think its recommended that you take the cake out of the freezer and let it defrost two to three days prior to eating it.

Re: Cake Top in the Freezer -- ???

My anniversary is Monday too!

We didn't freeze ours. My baker had a lot of negative things to say about freezing them, so he gives us a free one for the anniversary. since we now live in Chicago, we had it when we visited LI for a wedding two weeks ago.

Re: Cake Top in the Freezer -- ???

We went to Aruba for our 1 year anniversary. I took the cake out of the freezer and packed it in my suitcase. When we got there, I put it in the fridge in our room. It was out of the freezer for 4 days. Incredibly it was really delicious!!! DH and I couldn't believe how good it was after a year...we ate it all up
