Tell me how I started insurance with progressive 5/30/08. The policies are for 6 months so it ends 11/30/08. I got a renewel email saying if I want to renew my policy 11/30/08 to 5/30/09, my new payments will be 20 dollars higher than what I pay now a month. I have had NO tickets or accidents in the past 6 months, and hubby has had NO tickets or accidents in the past 6 months. As a matter of fact, 2 points came OFF OF hubby's record in the past 6 months...So how is that possible??? Shouldn't my insurance go down rather than up??? It's already effin high enough as it is for two new cars. I'm so mad right now...I really don't get that. Why would it go up???

Sorry to crash, but FH's insurance just went up $10 per 6 months and he said the same thing. But then he looked through the paperwork and it is because his car no longer qualifies for the new car discount. This could be one reason.

I had the same problem but then I called Geico and I saved at least $700 bucks. I don't want to sound like a commercial but give them a call they will give you a quote over the phone. I love them.

hey ladies,
i work for an insurance office and mostly all the insurance companies are having rate increases. Which completely *****, but there has been increases in paying claims and medical bills and the list goes on and on. Best bet is to call them to see if there is anything they can do or shop around.

I would try to shop around and see if you can find another company that will give you better prices. DH and I have progressive and it is the cheapest for us, but most people save the most with Geico.
