Can you girls tell me....

Out of everyone you invited to your weddign, how many (if any) RSVP yes and didn't show up and how many (if any) RSVP no or without a guest and either showed up or showed up with a guest?

Did you say anything to these people after the wedding???

I know it happened to my sister..3 couples RSVP yes and never showed, she never spoke to them again.

I think because my wedding was so small my experience may not count. I had everyone show that said they would and no one brought anyone they were not suppose too.

I had about two couples and one single RSVP that they would come and then change their mind at the last minute--like a day or two before.

No one extra came.

i had 3 people that said they would come not show up but 1 woman sent her husband even though she was very sick and the other couple had a personal problem that day

We invited 320. 250 replied yes. In the days before the wedding, we got about 5 cancellations, and the day of the wedding, about 8 people just didn't show up (no call). Nobody brought any extra people, though.

My experience is pretty unique because I had a few people RSVP yes and didn't show...the reason is because we had 22' of snow...and most of these people were from out of town and could not make it.

I had no one show up that wasn't invited or who didn't rsvp or anything like that.

I had 2 no-shows. They were both dates of single friends. Our friends were apologetic (I actually felt bad for one friend because the guy was a jackass to her and lied to her at the last minute why he couldn't come and she believed him but in the middle of my wedding got a call and found out the truth). We talk to both of our friends still.

I have to say some people don't know the etiquette to call and say you can't make it. I learned a lot as I got older and attended more weddings and planned my own wedding.

we invited 221 and 171 came, so that's about the average.
and we had two couples that didnt' show, both of them friends of our parents, but each had a death in their family that morning, so we completely understood. they were very sorry to have missed it, and the one woman cries every time she sees wedding pictures because she feels so terrible that she wasn't there.

my bad, one other person didn't show, because she and her husband separated and she didn't want to come and have it be awkawrd, so her husband came with their son, and she sent a card to apologize

We didn't have anyone that wasn't invited show up but we did have some no-shows. However none of those no-shows had the courtesy to call before the wedding! Some were relatives that I really don't talk to anyway (they were have to invites) but one was DH's friend and I think it has changed their friendship. The friend had a really lame excuse.

We had quite a few no shows, most were DH's friends that are quite flaky to start with. We didn't have anyone show up that wasn't invited.

I had THIRTEEN no-shows the day of and NONE of those 13 called... it was ALOT-- but I can honestly say that EVERYONE gave us a gift, and if it was a flaky friend who didn't bring a date, they gave us an extra generous gift.

But thank goodness the Milleridge has the 15% policy... where you pay 85% of the wedding the week of and 15% the DAY of to make up for the no-shows that might arise. Funny thing... we didn't owe anything day of!

So to us it wasn't a big deal.

ETA- OH and I forgot to mention I had 1 person who CRASHED!

Everyone showed up but four people. Sadly, those four people all were to sit at the same table, so the table (of 10) looked a bit empty. That stunk.
And if that was not bad enough, they never called or sent a card or anything. Needless tosay, we don't plan on calling them any time soon!

Everyone that rsvp'd showed up and no one brought anyone extra. I was lucky in that department!!

I had a few people cancel a few days before. I also had a person that never rsvp'd call 2 days before and say they wanted to come.

I had one person rsvp no and show up anyway.

I did not have any no shows.

Everyone who said they were coming came except 2 or 3 that called a few days before.

10 people brought a guest & didn't respond with a guest

1 person crashed

I had 178 total & invited 215

ETA: the plate count still worked, but the seating arrangement didn't

OK.. question 1: all of DH cousins were told that they could not bring a guest unless it was a serious relationship or someone I knew (likea friend that would be on our Blist) well, this caused a ton of drama cuz only 3 cousins out of 13 had someone long-term.....one cousin was PO'd b/c she was not asked to be in the wedding party so she organized this 'coup - d'tat' (sp?) of my wedding day...

OK question 2: we had a very close friend that we had intended to ask to be in the wedding party. about 1 week after we announced our engagement DH got him a job & he took it, but 2 weeks later he quit & there was a ton of drama & DH almost got fired from his job, so we did not invite him.....oneof the members of my BP told him the time, place & such & he came dressed in a suit & plopped himself down at a table.....my mothe asked him to leave, but he tolad her that DH invited him at the last minute. We did not even see him until after our toast first dance stuff & I was so over it by then it I didn't let it get to me.

I had 262 yesses~ 10 no shows

5 no shows, no reason

3 sick women (one I don't believe, called 2 hours before the ceremony!!!)

2 didn't show because one had a heart attack

So out of 262, 252 showed.
