Can you share who did your hair?

I am looking for a salon to use for my hair, and I need suggestions. My wedding is in st. james. Thanks newlyweds!

I used Kristen, as well due to the rave reviews on this board and wish I didnt and would NOT recommend her! She had a bride before me that day that she did and even though I booked her FIRST, she left not enough time for me. I felt she rushed with my hair to the point where it fell and she had to come to my reception site and redo it. I get sick when I think of the money and tip that I paid. I didnt use her for makeup, but did have a trial and didnt like my trial. After spendint 50 dollars at my trial, she did my makeup in 15 minutes and when I didnt like the lipstick, she told me to go to Macys and pick out one for her to use. That really got to me. I know some girls on here love her work and that is fine since everyone is entitled the their opinion, but not someone I would recommend.

I used the Maximus Salon in the Fortunoff mall in Westbury. You go to them for a trial, but they will go to your home on the day of the wedding. A little pricey, but they did a great job on all of us.

I used a woman Michelle from CBF in merrick.. she lives out in Suffolk and she was really good..

Cindy, thanks for sharing. She was on my list. Now I dont think I will go for a trial there.Sorry that happened to you.

Jen from Fairytale Makeovers did my hair and make-up. She was great. She comes to you.

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to Cindy who had a bad experience with Kristen. But, I didn't have any complaints about her at all and was very happy with my hair and makeup that day. I would definitely do the trial, and look for pics of hair and makeup to show her exactly what you want. That's what I did.

Tapestry Salon in Centereach. I normally go to Michelle for regular haircuts and I love her.

My DH's sister did my hair. She and two of her friends came to the house to do me and the BMs. They all work at Christopher Jon's salon in Sayville except for my SIL who used to work there (now works out of her house since she has 3 kids).

I used Jen from Fairytale too. She's really sweet & will do whatever you want, she spends a lot of time at her trials.

I also used Kristen from Enchante, and I have nothing but positive, glowing things to say about her. I feel horrible that Cindy had a bad experience ~ no bride should be unhappy about her hair on her wedding day~ but I have used her on more occaisions than my wedding, continue to recommend Kristen to anyone who asks.
